s. m, supporter, a keeper; a shrub, (Vitex negundo, Nat. Ord. Verbenaceæ) common in the Siwalik tract, in the Salt Range and in the plains. The branches are used for wattle-work. The leaves are in Chamba given for Colic; they are also used medicinally in poultices. The root and fruit likewise are used medicinally.
