s. m, plant (Tephrosia purpurea, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ) which is not uncommon in the plains from Delhi as far as the Jhelum, and in the Salt Range. In Hariana the twigs are used for making baskets. The plant is considered depurative and cordial and in some places an infusion of the seeds is considered cooling; i. q. Báṇsá.
