Meaning in English2
s. m, small, somewhat crooked tree (Ougeinia Dalbergioides, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ) which grows sparingly throughout the Siwalik tract, up to the Jhelum. The timber is hard and strong, and is said to be very durable, and not subject to warping or to worms. It is much valued for ploughs, wheels, sugar and cotton-rollers, and combs.
