a, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Shital. Cool; the Nyctanthes arbortristis, Nat. Ord. Jasmineaceæ, used as a dye and perfume, supposed to unite broken bones, hence called had jora. It is very aromatic, and is used in a variety of diseases:—sítal pátí, s. f. A kind of fine cool mat.
