s. m, Witness; irrigation by percolation, moisture below the surface of the soil, the moisture in baráṉí or torrent irrigated lands left after the surface has been dried. In the case of river lands the moisture occasioned by percolation from below; a rope of hemp by which the mouth of a hair cloth used for loading asses, oxen, mules, ponies is sewed.
