s. m, Corrupted from the Sanskrit word Sandhya. Evening; the meeting of day and night, twilight, Hindu worship at morning, noon and sunset. It consists in the repetition of maṇtarás, the sipping of water and ceremonies performed by Brahmans, Kshatríá, Vaisás;—saṇdhiákál, saṇdhiá welá, s. m. Just after sunset.
