s. f, The Cassia obovata, Nat. Ord. Leguminosæ found in the Salt Range and Trans-Indus. Its leaves are used as senna, and collected for druggists in some places:—sanná makkí, s. f. Cassia Acutifolia, Nat. Ord. Leguminosœ, cultivated for senna leaves in various parts of India. It is stated in a native book that if Senna be the only food for a month it prolongs youth and causes the hair to remain black, if eaten for 40 days it produces a sweet smell.
