s. m, India, the king of gods, the Regent of the visible heavens, and of the inferior divinities according to the Hindu mythology;—s. f. m. A woman so malformed as to be incapable of sexual intercourse or of bearing children; a she-goat that gives milk without bearing young; a black kind of barley, with thin grain is called iṇdar jau, because its grain are considered malformed. This is different from iṇdarjau, used medicinally:—iṇdásaṉ, iṇdarásaṉ, s. m. The throne of Indra:—Iṇdar dhaṉak, Iṇdar dhaṉakh, s. m. The rainbow:—Iṇdar gám s. m. A large eared purple grained species of barley. It is grown as a delicacy and is chiefly used for parching:—iṇdar jál, s. m. Legerdemain; deception, chenting, trick;—iṇdar jauṇ, s. m. Seed of the Urightia antidysentarica, used medicinally to stop dysenteries and considered febrifuge;—Iṇḍar lok, s. m. The world in which Indra resides.
