s. f, small shell used as coin (the smallest piece of Indian currency), a cowrie; money:—kauḍí kauḍí joṛṉá, v. a. To save up every farthing:—kauḍí kauḍí toṇ lachár hoṉá, v. n. To be reduced to beggary:—kauḍí de kamm dá ná hoṉá, v. n. Not to be worth a kauḍí; to be worthless, to be good for nothing:— káṉí kauḍí, s. m. lit. A broken shell; a bad penny:—do kauḍí dá ádmí, s. m. A worthless man:—kauḍíáṇ, s. m. A spotted snake.
