To diminish, to decrease, to lessen; to deduct; to relax; to moderate, to modify; to contract, to circumscribe; to cut, to cut down, to cut short; to reduce, to a bridge, to curtail, to retrench;—ghaṭṭ ná karná, v. a. Not to be deficient in taking revenge, or to injure another:—ghaṭṭ laggṉá, v. n. To be scanty (fruit); to be spent less:—ghaṭṭ lagáuṉá láuṉá, v. a. To spend less:—ghaṭṭ waddh, a. Less or more:—ghaṭṭwáhá, s. m. One who gives light weight.
