s. m, e, leather, skin:—chammrus, s. m. A sore on the foot caused by the galling or friction of a tight shoe:—chamm udheṛṉá, v. a. To skin, to flay; to beat so as to take off the skin, to beat severly:—chamm vaḍḍhná, v. a. lit. To cut the skin; to harass, to give one trouble; to grind one to the utmost (generally used by debtors when they are short of money and are compelled by creditors to pay up.)
