s. m, very prickly shrub of some size (Mimosa rubicaulis) which grows in the outer hills up to near the Indus, and is at times found on the banks of rivers or canals, some way into the plains. In Chamba the bruised leaves are applied to burns, and the fruit appears to be officinal.
