s. m, very spinous plant (Astragalus multiceps) with yellow flowers, some what resembling gorse. It rows Trans-Indus and in the Salt Range. It is at times eaten by cattle, and in the Salt Range the calyces, which have a sweetish pleasant taste, are eaten; on the Chenab the seeds are given for colic. It is used also for leprosy.
