s. m. (K.), ) A handsome smallish tree (Sapindus detergens) not uncommonly planted in the valleys as far as the Ravi. The timber is white, soft, and weak, and is not of great use. In Kangra its leaves are used as fodder. The seeds are also officinal, being given in cases of salivation, in epilepsy and as expectorants.
