s. f, Barley, ground and mixed with water and given to cows and buffaloes when near calving; the surface of cloth when fine, firm, and smooth; the texture of cloth; (in comp.) a place of worship; also see Píṭhí:—jálaṇdhar píṭh, s. m. The region round about Jawálámukhí, and Kángrá (a circuit of forty eight kos) within which it is considered very favourable to end one's day.
