s. f. (M.), ) the payment made to an owner of land for permission to sink a well on his land:—pagg bannhniṉ, bannhṉí v. a. A ceremony by which a son or heir is installed in the room of one deceased, a pagg is put on his head in public:—pagg badheṇdeṇ, badheṇdeṇ bhájaṛ boṛ ḍitus. He was so long tying on his turban that the flood carried away his threshing floor.—Prov.
