s. f, Corrupted from the Arabic word Bakar-íd. A festival observed by the Muhammadans on the 10th of the month Zilhij, in commemoration of Abraham's readiness to sacrifice his son Ismail; sheep, goats, oxen, and camels are sacrificed on this occasion. It is also termed Íd-uz-zuhá.
