s. m, sweetmeat made with cardamom seed, larger than that called iláchí dáṉá; a plant (Euryale ferox, Nat. Ord. Nymphaeaceæ) the fixed seed of the water lily (Auneslea spinosá):—tál makháná, s. m. (Asteracantha longifolia, Nat. Ord. Acanthaceae) not uncommon in moist places in the eastern and central parts of the Panjab plains. The seeds are officinal, being given for gonorrhœa.
