s. f. (M.), ) A step-mother. She is Injusta Noverca in Multani as in all other languages:—matreí Allah ná anei háṇ saṛakí; jaḍáṇ kaheṇ kúṇ, áṇdá ḍekhe ṭadáṇ ḍeve ṭike. May God not bring you a step-mother a heart burner, who only gives you food when she sees some one coming!—matreí bhaiṉ, s. f. A half-sister, i. e., having a different mother.
