s. f, Corrupted from the Arabic word Masjid. A Muhammadan place of worship, mosque:—ṭake pichchhe masit ḍháuṉí, v. n. lit. To destroy a mosque for two pices. Used of those who are so covetons or penurious that they will stop at nothing for the smallest gain.
