s. m, plant (Solanum sanctum, Nat. Ord. Solanaceæ) seen occasionally Trans-Indus, and in the Salt Range. In some places the fruit is eaten fresh and in pickle.:—chhotṭí mahorí, s. f. A plant (Solanum Xanthocarpum, Nat. Ord. Solanaceæ) common throughout the Panjab plains. In some places the seeds are eaten. They are also applied for bruises and otitis. The fruit likewise is bruised and applied for pain. It is also given for chest diseases. In Lahore called kaṇḍyárí.
