s. m, small tree (Sponia Wightii, Nat. Ord. Ulmaceæ) found very sparingly in the Siwalak tract up to the Bias and occurring also in the Salt Range. In some parts of India its exceedingly harsh rough leaves are employed to polish wood and horn.
