s. f, handsome tree (Mimusops Elengi, Nat. Ord. Sapotaceae) occasionally planted in the east of the Panjab for its appearance and the fine smell of its flowers. There are one or two small specimens about Lahore, Amritsar and Multan. Its bark is used as a gargle for swollen gums. The wood is soft.
