s. m, fibre, a stringy particle (meat, fruit); Coryza—resedár. a. Fibrous, stringy:—resá khatmí, s. f. The root of the gul khairá, or hollyhock (Althaæa rosea, Nat. Ord. Molvaceæ) used medicinally and commonly grown as a garden flower. Its seeds are used medicinally being mucilaginous and demulcent, diuretic and febrifuge, and the flowers are reckoned cooling and diuretic and are given in rheumatism.
