s. m, plant (Asparagus racemosus, Nat. Ord. Liliuceæ) which is furnished with small spines, is common in parts of the Salt Range, and Siwalik tract. Its root is used medicinally for man and beast, and it probably supplies parts of the medicine satáwár.
