SHUKRÁNÁ
انگریزی میں معنی2
s. m. lit. (M.), ) this word had a special meaning under the revenue administration of Diwan Sawan Mal. The mahsúl, or Government share of the produce, was returned to the cultivators, who were compelled to pay for it in cash, at the average market price during the month of Waisákh, Jeṭh and Háṛh for the spring crop, and during Kátik, Magghar and Poh for the autumn crop. If after the average price had been fixed, prices rose much, Diwan Sawan Mal levied a cess called shukráná, supposed to be a thanksgiving to the Government, for adhering to the price fixed when prices were lower, at the rate of one rupee per path of the cultivator's share.
