s. f, small shrub (Rhazya stricta, R. diffusa, Nat. Ord. Apocynaceæ) which grows abundantly in many places Trans-Indus, and occurs in the Salt Rangeat low elevations. The dried. branches are used as fuel. The leaves after being steeped in water for some days, are given as food to goats. They are also bruised and given with milk to children for eruptions, and an infusion of them is stated to be good for sore throat. The fruit and upper leaves are considered efficacious in cases of boils and skin eruptions.
