s. f. (M.), ) A most deadly cattle disease. The symptoms are trembling, sweating, and the mouth open. The disease occurs at all seasons, there is no remedy, a couple of hours after the symptoms appear, the animal is as it were struck dead; hence the same saṭṭ meaning blow. It seems to be splenic apoplexy:—saṭṭ paṭṭ, ad. Quickly;—s. m. See Saṭar paṭar:—ḍáḍhí saṭṭ, laggí his. He received a severe blow.
