ad. (M.), ) Corruption of the Sanskrit word Hirde. The heart:—past participle (Poṭ.) to the sign of the dative (Salt Range):—háṇ wichch háṇ miláuṉí, v. n. To say ditto, to chime in with:—háṇ kúṇ kaṇd nahíṇ mildí. The back is not to be compared to the heart.—Prov. i. e., the affection of a father is not comparable to that of a mother:—cháchá bábe jiháṇ bhal háṇ ná bábe jiháṇ. An uncle is like a father, but his heart is not like a father's.—Prov.
