आर्त्त्. - ਆੱਰ੍ਤ. ਵਿ- ਕਾਇਰ. ਕਾਤਰ. ਬੁਜ਼ਦਿਲ। ੨. ਦੁਖੀ. ਪੀੜਿਤ. "ਆਰਤ ਦੁਆਰ ਰਟਤ ਪਿੰਗੁਰੀਆ." (ਗਉ ਮਃ ੫) "ਗੋਪਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਰਤਾ." (ਧਨਾ ਧੰਨਾ) ਹੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ! ਤੇਰਾ ਆਰਤ ਦਾਸ ਸ਼ਰਣਾਗਤ ਹੈ. ਕਈ ਅਜਾਣ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਧੰਨੇ ਜੱਟ ਦਾ ਆਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ "ਆਰਤਾ" ਹੈ.¹
