s. f, Corrupted from the Arabic word Qazá. Amongst Muhummadans the saying of prayer (namáz) after the stated period if the person has been lawfully hindered; the completion of life, death; fate, destiny; the office of a Qází (Muhammadan judge); persistence, insisting:—kajá karní, v. n. To persist, to insist:—nimáj kajá karní. Not to say nimái within the appointed time:—kajá umrí; s. f. One day in the year in which it is allowable to make up the defaults of the whole year as regards nimáz.
