v. a. (M.), To extract to draw out, to give out; i. q. Kaḍḍhṉá:—gakaṛ kaḍhan, v. a. To extract stones of dates:—maṇḍá kaḍhan, v. a. To give abuse:—kiáre kaḍhaṇ, v. a. To lay out beds in a garden or field:—walh kaḍhan, v. a. To take refuse indigo out of the vats:—uchí khají jaiṇdá buthá kamaṇḍ he; maṇgdí háṇ páṇjá bhaṛwá kaḍhdá ḍaṇde. A tall date-tree with a rotten climbing-rope, I ask a handful of dates, the wretch shows his teeth.—Song:—tinne lai khal núṉ ghaṛí mahíṇ, suraṇg; jíon jíoṇ hon puráníáṇ tioṇ kaḍhan raṇg. The zemiṇdárs desire three things;—a mare, a she-buffalo, and a horse; these three become more useful as they grow older.
