s. m, The name of a musical mode, which is sung after evening:—rágoṇ kí pat káhnaṛá tároṇ kí pat chaṇd. The honour of musical modes is Káhnará, and the honour of stars is the moon, i. e., the Káhnaṛá is considered one of the best rágs.
