v. n, To mould, to rot, to decay, to spoil; i. q. Garjáṉá;—s. m. A kind of thorn tree:—hiúṇ garná, s. m. A tree (Capparis horrida) found in the plains of the Panjab. The wood is only used for fuel. In the Southern Panjab and Sindh the fruit is made into pickle, and in the latter the leaves are applied as a counter-irritant.
