s. f, Corrupted from the Persian word Taríz. A slip or rag of paper or cloth:—taríj kapṛe dí sir te, te náṇ sarafráj kháṇ. Only a scrap of cloth on his head and he calls himself Sarfaraz Khan.—Prov. Bird of exalted head.
