s. m, sword; a wooden scythe used for cutting down the plants burned for sajjí:—talwár chaláuṉí, mární, uṭháuṉí, v. a. To cut one with a sword, to use a sword:—talwár challṉí, v. n. To fight with swords:—talwár dá phaṭṭ, s. m. A sword cut:—talwár. miáṉ wichch karní, páuṉí, v. a. To sheathe the sword:—talwár sútṉí, khichchṉí, v. a. To draw or unsheathe the sword.
