s. m, The name includes two plants—(1) The wall-flower Cheiran—thus cheiri, (2) the stock Cheiranthus annuus, both of the Nat. Ord. Cruciferœ. The seeds are used medicinally as tonic, emmenagogue and aphrodisiac remedies. Five varieties of Todrí are distinguished according to the colour of the flowers, surkh or lál (red) and zard or pílá (yellow) which are seeds of wall-flower, and chiṭṭá or sufaid (white), nílá (blue) and náfarmání (lilac, mauve) which are obtained from the stock plant.
