s. m, plant (Hyoscyamus nigra), frequent in waste ground near houses in the Panjab Himalaya, where it is stated to be eaten by cattle. The seeds are on the Sutlej said to be poisonous, and are officinal in the plains for their narcotic effects; i. q. Daṇdúrá.
