Sight, appearance, seeing; an interview, visit; the sight of an image of a god or a temple; one of the six religious or philosophical systems of the Hindus; a crystal earring worn by Jogís; the orthodox sects of Hindus, i. e., Brahmans, Sanyásís and Jogís:—darsaṉ deṉá, v. a. To give one a sight of himself, to appear before one:—fatah darsaṉ. The mode of salutation adopted by Banda Bairagi the military leader after Guru Govind Singh:—jharokhá darsaṉ, s. m.
