s. f, graceful little fern (Adiantum venustum, Nat. Ord. Filices) very common in many parts of the Panjab Himalaya. In Chumba it is pounded and applied to bruises, and the plant appears to supply in the Panjab most of the officinal haṇsu- ráj, which is administered as an anodyne in bronchitis, and is considered diuretic and emmenagogue; i. q. Par-i-siyáwasháṇ.
