s. m, small earthen vessel used for holding water and butter milk; the fifteenth of the twenty-seven (according to later reckoning twenty-eight) lunar mansions known to Hindu Astrology. These mansions distinct in name, figure and number of stars are called Nachhattar (Sanskrit Nakshatra.)
