A stipend, a fixed allowance; the small cake which is daily given to the Mulláṇ, by pious Muhammadans:—welhak án wadífá máí, chá ṭhúṭhá nit karíṇ gadáí. 'Saying, women! quickly bring your daily alms; they take up the cup and always beg!—Song sung in deprecation of the avarice of Mulláṇs.
