s. m, (1) A climbing plant (Cocculus Leæba, Nat. Ord. Menispermaceœ) of the Arabian flora, common Trans-Indus and extending more sparingly as far as Amritsar. It is said to be eaten by goats, but by no other animal, and is of no special use;—(2) A pretty climber (Cissus carnosa, Nat. Ord. Ampelideæ) which is found in several of the valleys and in parts of the plains. It is eaten by camels in the latter, and in Jammu the root ground with black pepper is applied to boils.
